Dennis Vaughn is the author of two novels that you can find online and in bookstores. His first novel, The Price of Revenge, was released in 2010. His second, The Longboat, was released in July 2018, and he's currently working on a third novel.

Vaughn entered the world of creative writing when he retired from his law practice some years ago. He was a senior partner in what started as a small Los Angeles firm, Paul Hastings, which grew into an international firm with more than 1000 lawyers and offices throughout the world. He served as Chairman of the firm for three years.

During his years as a law professional, he specialized in employment law representing management. He's published legal articles and spoken extensively on employment subjects. He also served as the managing editor of the Stanford Law Review. While legal and creative writing are two distinctly different endeavors, Vaughn draws on his professional writing background and experience in writing his novels.

Life & Background

Vaughn graduated from Stanford University and Stanford Law School. Today, he lives in Aspen, Colorado, most of the year and spends the rest in Los Angeles. He's traveled extensively with his wife and devotes time to several charitable organizations. Vaughn has served as President of Aspen Words, a program of the Aspen Institute, an officer of the Friends of Marolt Park & Open Space. He is also a Life Director of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in New York, as well as the Aspen Music Festival & School in Aspen.
